Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie

A rich and comforting dessert with gooey filling, melty chocolate, and crunchy pecans in a flaky pie shell.

  • 1 (9-inch) pie crust, ready made or homemade
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly puffed.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for better mixing. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
