Savory Cabbage Beef Bake

A hearty and comforting dish featuring ground beef, tender cabbage, and seasoned rice, baked with aromatic spices and tomatoes.

  • 5 grams paprika
  • 5 grams garlic powder
  • 15 millilitres Worcestershire sauce
  • 200 grams cooked rice
  • 410 grams canned diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 450 grams ground beef

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned and translucent.
  3. Combine shredded cabbage, canned tomatoes, cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
  4. Prepare a baking dish by spooning in the mixture and covering it with foil.
  5. Cook the mixture on the stove for about 5 minutes on low heat.
  6. Bake the covered dish in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until the cabbage is soft.
  7. Serve after allowing it to cool for a few minutes.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey for beef. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
