Warm and indulgent, this Pecan Pie Cheesecake Trifle layers the best elements of pecan pie and creamy cheesecake into a stunning dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers, for the crumb base
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Extra pecans (optional, for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crumb base. In a medium bowl, mix the crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers with the melted butter until combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of your trifle dish or into individual serving cups.
  2. Make the cheesecake layer. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping until just combined and light, then chill if needed.
  4. Cook the pecan pie layer by combining brown sugar, corn syrup, heavy cream, and butter in a saucepan, cooking until bubbly and thickened.
  5. Assemble the trifle by layering the crumb base, half of the cheesecake filling, and half of the pecan pie mixture. Repeat the layers.
  6. Chill the assembled trifle for at least 2 hours before serving, then garnish with extra pecans and whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For best results, soften cream cheese to room temperature before use. You can use graham crackers for a different flavor or texture.
