Garlic Butter Chicken Pasta

A creamy and comforting garlic butter chicken pasta featuring tender chicken and ribbon-like fettuccine or linguine in a rich sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mince the garlic.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Melt 1/2 cup of butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with the remaining butter, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
  7. Taste and season with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for smooth incorporation into the sauce and reserve pasta water for adjusting sauce consistency.
