Mozzarella Garlic Butter Chicken Bowties in Cheesy Cream

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken and bowtie pasta in a rich, creamy mozzarella sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, then remove from the skillet and slice.
  4. In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet, tossing to combine and heat through.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Pound chicken if unevenly thick. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days. Creamy pasta can separate when frozen, but can be frozen for up to 1 month.
