Garlic Butter Chicken and Bowtie Pasta

A cozy weeknight meal featuring tender chicken and bowtie pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, about 1 to 1.25 pounds
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta, dry
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving a splash of pasta cooking water.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it foams slightly.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Remove the chicken and let it rest before slicing.
  6. Add the heavy cream to the same skillet, stirring and scraping up any bits from the bottom.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the sauce, tossing to coat. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Use a heavy skillet for even browning. Mince garlic finely for even distribution. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
