Garlic Butter Chicken with Bowtie Pasta

A cozy, weeknight-friendly dinner combining tender chicken and al dente bowtie pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 cloves Fresh minced garlic
  • 8 ounces Bowtie pasta
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pasta by bringing a large pot of water to a boil and cooking the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a splash of pasta water if the pasta seems dry when you toss it later.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and slice them if needed for even cooking.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter, swirling the pan to coat the surface.
  4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and tent loosely to rest for a few minutes.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the remaining butter in the skillet and cook for 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet or slice it and combine with the drained pasta. Toss to coat everything in the garlic and butter.
  8. Finish by grating Parmesan cheese over the top and mixing until the cheese melts into the pasta and chicken. Serve warm immediately.

Notes

Let the chicken rest briefly after cooking to retain juices. Use reserved pasta water sparingly to loosen the sauce.
