Garlic Butter Chicken Bites

Juicy pieces of chicken tossed in a fragrant garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • to 2 pounds boneless chicken thighs or chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (or more for bolder flavor)
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 23 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (use more if needed)
  • 2 tbsp butter (add more for a richer sauce)
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (for extra kick, optional)
  • ½ cup chicken broth (for a thinner sauce)
  • Lemon wedges (for fresh flavor)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for creamy finish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the chicken. In a bowl, toss the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using until evenly coated.
  3. Heat the skillet. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon olive oil, swirling to coat the pan.
  4. Sear the chicken. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the hot skillet and cook undisturbed for 4 to 5 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  5. Flip and finish cooking. Flip the chicken pieces and cook another 4 to 5 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Transfer the chicken. Use a slotted spoon or spatula to move the cooked chicken to a plate while you make the sauce.
  7. Start the sauce. In the same skillet, add the butter and the remaining olive oil. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
  8. Deglaze with broth. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer to reduce slightly.
  9. Combine chicken and sauce. Add the chicken back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce, stirring in the chopped parsley and hot sauce if desired.
  10. Finish and serve. Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken and sprinkle Parmesan cheese if using.

Notes

Patting the chicken dry ensures a better sear. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
