Easy Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken Bowtie Pasta Dinner

A rich and comforting one-skillet pasta dish featuring tender chicken and a luxurious garlic butter cream sauce.

  • 1.5 to 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Bowtie pasta (Farfalle), cooked until al dente
  • 1 whole head of fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken and aromatics by patting the chicken breasts dry, seasoning with salt and pepper, and mincing the garlic.
  2. Cook the pasta by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil and cooking according to package directions.
  3. Sear the chicken by heating olive oil and butter in a skillet and cooking the chicken until golden brown.
  4. Make the garlic butter base by adding minced garlic to the skillet and sautéing until fragrant.
  5. Build the sauce by pouring in chicken broth, scraping up brown bits, and adding heavy cream to simmer until thickened.
  6. Finish the sauce by stirring in Parmesan cheese, then returning the chicken and pasta to the skillet.
  7. Serve in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a quicker option, use shredded rotisserie chicken. This pasta can be frozen without the pasta for best results.
