  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 handfuls fresh spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a greased baking dish.
  2. Combine the orzo, broccoli, vegetable broth, heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and spices in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the salt, crushed red pepper flakes, oregano, black pepper, and smoked paprika to the bowl.
  4. Stir well and ensure the orzo is submerged in the liquid.
  5. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and smooth into an even layer.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, checking at 20 minutes for doneness.
  7. Remove from the oven, stir in the Parmesan cheese and spinach, and let sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a large bowl for mixing to avoid spills. Check for doneness at 20 minutes to prevent overbaking.
