Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies

Deliciously buttery cookies packed with melty chocolate and crunchy pecans, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  8. Scoop dough into 2 tablespoon balls and place on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

Notes

For uniform cookies, use a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop. Chilling the dough for 20 minutes can help if it spreads too much.
