Pizza Grilled Cheese

A delicious grilled cheese sandwich with layers of mozzarella, pepperoni, and a buttery, garlic-infused spread, served with warm pizza sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, very soft
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 6 ounces pepperoni
  • Warm pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Mix together the softened butter, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth and well combined.
  2. Spread the butter mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread. Arrange the bread slices butter side up on a sheet tray.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
  4. Top the slice with one slice of mozzarella cheese, followed by six slices of pepperoni, then another slice of mozzarella, six more slices of pepperoni, and finish with another slice of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Place another slice of bread on top, butter side up. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining ingredients to make additional sandwiches.
  8. Serve the Pizza Grilled Cheese immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
