Bowtie Lemon Garlic Chicken Pasta

A bright and comforting weeknight meal with creamy Parmesan and lemon accents, featuring seared chicken and bowtie pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the sliced chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Add lemon zest and juice, simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until thickened.
  8. Return chicken to the pan, simmer for 2 minutes to meld flavors.
  9. Toss in cooked pasta until coated, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Slice the chicken evenly for consistent cooking. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick. Store leftovers for up to 3 days.
