Biscuits Gravy Hashbrown Bake

A hearty breakfast dish that combines sausage and gravy with crispy hash browns and fluffy buttermilk biscuits, topped with melting cheddar cheese.

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 180 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 480 millilitres whole milk
  • 1 packet (78 grams) McCormick Sausage Flavour Gravy Mix
  • 360 grams frozen shredded hash browns
  • 450 grams premium pork sausage
  • 1 can (454 grams) buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C and lightly grease a 33×23 cm baking pan.
  2. Cook the pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat, crumbling it as it browns. Drain excess fat.
  3. Spread the frozen hash browns evenly in the baking dish. Top with cooked sausage.
  4. Whisk together the sausage gravy mix with the milk until smooth. Pour over the sausage and hash browns.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly across the casserole.
  6. Cut each buttermilk biscuit into four pieces and distribute evenly on top.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the biscuit tops are golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.

Notes

For a lighter option, feel free to use turkey sausage. Add sautéed vegetables for extra flavor.
