A cozy and satisfying brunch dish featuring savory pork sausage, creamy gravy, and crispy hash browns topped with flaky buttermilk biscuits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 180 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 480 millilitres whole milk
  • 1 packet (78 grams) McCormick Sausage Flavour Gravy Mix
  • 360 grams frozen shredded hash browns
  • 450 grams premium pork sausage

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C and lightly grease a 33×23 cm baking pan for even baking.

  4. Top the hash browns evenly with the cooked, crumbled sausage.
  5. Prepare the gravy by whisking together the sausage gravy mix and whole milk until smooth.
  6. Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the sausage and hash browns.
  7. Add shredded cheddar cheese evenly across the casserole.
  8. Top with biscuit pieces cut into four pieces each, distributed evenly over the top.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the biscuit tops are golden brown and the center is set.
  10. Rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding chopped onions or bell peppers to the sausage. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
