Baked Pears with Honey & Walnuts

Delightful baked pears topped with creamy blue cheese, crunchy walnuts, and drizzled with honey for a perfect dessert.

  • 4 ripe pears
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ cup mixed fresh berries
  • ½ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Fresh thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. Place the halved and cored pears cut-side up on the baking sheet. Brush each pear with melted butter.
  3. Bake the pears for 15-20 minutes or until they are tender but still hold their shape. Remove from the oven and cool slightly.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the mixed berries over the pears. Add crumbled blue cheese on top of each pear.
  5. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on each pear and drizzle honey over them.
  6. If desired, garnish with fresh thyme sprigs. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Ensure your pears are ripe but not overly soft for the best texture. Consider toasting the walnuts for enhanced flavor.
