Indulge in the sweet, luscious flavors of Baked Pears with Honey & Walnuts, a warm and comforting dessert perfect for fall.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ cup mixed fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
  • ½ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Fresh thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
  2. Arrange the pears on the baking sheet, cut-side up. Brush each pear with melted butter.
  3. Bake the pears for 15-20 minutes, or until they are tender but still retain their shape. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  4. Top the pears evenly with mixed berries, crumbled blue cheese, chopped walnuts, and a drizzle of honey.
  5. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs, if desired, and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg before baking the pears. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
