Vegan Jelly with Agar-Agar

A delightful and refreshing plant-based jelly made with agar-agar, perfect for weight loss.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons agar-agar powder
  • 1 cup fruit juice or puree (unsweetened)
  • Sweetener (optional, e.g., agave or maple syrup)
  • 1 cup water (or coconut water)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients including agar-agar powder and fruit juice or puree.
  2. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of agar-agar powder. Stir well and bring to a boil over medium heat (5-7 minutes).
  3. If using, stir in the sweetener after the agar-agar has fully dissolved.
  4. Pour in the fruit juice or puree, mixing thoroughly for even flavor distribution. Keep on heat for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Pour into molds or a dish and cool to room temperature.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours until firm.
  7. Once set, release the jelly from the molds and serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, use unsweetened fruit juices and allow sufficient time for chilling.
