Ultimate Cheesy Ground Beef Melt

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • French or burger buns
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.
  2. Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add salt, pepper, and paprika to the beef, mixing well.
  4. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese, allowing the residual heat to melt the cheese.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Spoon the beef and cheese mixture onto slices of bread. Top with additional cheese if desired.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and bread is golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
