Sticky Honey Chicken features tender chicken coated in a rich honey glaze, perfect for a comforting weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp minced ginger (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add diced chicken to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, preferably 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or the air fryer to 375°F (190°C), or heat a skillet over medium heat.
  4. For baking/air frying, spread the chicken in a single layer and cook for 20-25 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. For stovetop, sauté the chicken for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. If baking, brush the chicken with remaining marinade halfway through cooking for extra stickiness.
  7. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
