  • 3 cups powdered sugar (for vanilla frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for vanilla frosting)
  • 1 tbsp milk or cream (for vanilla frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Beat for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Gradually stir in hot water until fully incorporated.
  5. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  6. For the graham cracker crunch, mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Spread onto a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Let cool.
  7. For marshmallow frosting, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add marshmallow fluff and powdered sugar, mixing until smooth.
  8. To prepare the ganache, heat cream until simmering. Pour over chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
  9. For vanilla frosting, beat butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk, whipping until fluffy.
  10. To assemble, place one cake layer on a plate. Spread marshmallow frosting, then sprinkle with graham cracker crunch and mini marshmallows. Place the second layer on top.
  11. Pour ganache over the cake and finish with vanilla frosting and decorations.
