Delightful cookies with crispy edges and a soft, chewy center that melt in your mouth, perfect for cozy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract until blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden and centers remain soft. Let rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a fun twist, try adding chopped nuts or dried fruits to the dough.
