Korean Ground Beef Bowl

A flavorful and easy weeknight meal featuring seasoned ground beef, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce, served over rice or noodles.

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 ratio)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional vegetables (like bell peppers, carrots, or broccoli)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients by mincing garlic and ginger, chopping green onions, and slicing any additional vegetables.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add soy sauce and brown sugar, stirring until the mixture is evenly coated.
  5. If using, add vegetables and cook for another 2-3 minutes until tender.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil and half of the green onions. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

This dish can be easily customized with different proteins and toppings.
