Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese

A comforting blend of garlic bread and gooey grilled cheese, perfect for cozy dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of good quality bread (sourdough or Italian)
  • 2 cups melting cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Parsley or Italian herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine softened butter with minced garlic and mix well. Set aside.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer with cheese, then top with another slice, garlic butter side up.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes, pressing down gently.
  6. Check if the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy. Remove from skillet and let cool for a minute before slicing.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature butter and control heat to avoid burning the bread. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
