Family-Friendly Sausage and Egg Casserole

A comforting and easy-to-make casserole that combines breakfast sausage, eggs, and cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1 pound (450g) breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups bread (cubed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the cooked sausage, cubed bread, and shredded cheese until combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can assemble this casserole the night before and bake it in the morning for easier preparation.
