Creamy Mozzarella Garlic Butter Chicken Bowties

A cozy and indulgent weeknight dinner featuring tender chicken and bowtie pasta in a rich, velvety garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 lb bowtie pasta
  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. Reserve a small cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until no longer pink, stirring occasionally. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan, stirring until melted and the sauce is smooth. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, add the cooked pasta, and toss to coat.
  6. Serve hot with extra mozzarella on top.
