Creamy Garlic Chicken Bowtie Pasta

A cozy, weeknight-friendly meal featuring a rich, velvety sauce with tender chicken and perfectly cooked bowtie pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced or sliced
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta, dried
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water if needed.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter melts and foams.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 30 to 60 seconds, stirring constantly.
  4. Add diced chicken breast, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, allowing the sauce to reduce and thicken slightly.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, adding reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
  7. Toss in cooked bowtie pasta to coat evenly with the sauce and heat through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Dice the chicken into even pieces for uniform cooking. Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melting and flavor.
