Browned Butter Blondies

Deliciously rich and chewy blondies made with browned butter, bringing a nutty flavor and a hint of caramel sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional add-ins: Chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter by melting it in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until it turns golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the browned butter and brown sugar, whisking until smooth.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in any optional ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

Enjoy warm or at room temperature, and consider serving with ice cream or a drizzle of glaze.
