  • 4 slices of crusty bread (baguette or sourdough recommended)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, provolone, or cheddar)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Mince the garlic and cut the steak into thin strips. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add the steak strips, cooking until browned (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Toast the Bread: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over each slice of bread.
  4. Bake the Toast: Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Build the Toasts: Layer cooked steak on each slice of garlic toast and sprinkle cheese over the steak.
  6. Melt the Cheese: Broil the assembled toast in the oven for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
