Basic Bariatric Gelatin

A low-calorie dessert recipe for basic bariatric gelatin, perfect for those on a weight loss journey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 tablespoons gelatin powder
  • 12 cups water or flavoring liquid (low-calorie juices or herbal teas)
  • Sweetener (optional, such as stevia or monk fruit)
  • Chopped fresh fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure 1-2 cups of your chosen flavoring liquid. Heat it gently in a saucepan until warm, but do not boil.
  2. In a separate bowl, sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of gelatin powder over 1/4 cup of the warm liquid. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Slowly stir the bloomed gelatin into the warm liquid until completely dissolved.
  4. If desired, add your preferred sweetener or flavorings and stir well to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture into small cups or molds, filling them about halfway for a light treat.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or until set. The gelatin should have a firm, wobbly consistency.
  7. Once set, pop them out of the molds and enjoy your delicious basic bariatric gelatin!

Notes
